Twenty years after its adoption, the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006) has established itself as a fundamental pillar of decent work at sea. This high-level commemorative event, broadcast live from ILO Headquarters in Geneva, brings together global leaders and maritime stakeholders to reflect on the Convention’s impact, as well as the strength of social dialogue and multilateralism in keeping the MLC fit for purpose in a rapidly evolving maritime industry.
