This joint ILO-UNEP-IUCN event will explore the relevance and importance of Just Transition to Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and how the Just Transition framework can mitigate risks and maximize opportunities for Decent Work when scaling up the use of NbS. The event is also a prelude to the launch of the first ILO, UNEP and IUCN report on Decent Work in NbS that aims to address the knowledge gap of how increased use of NbS will impact labour markets and the creation of decent jobs.
