Launched in 2016, the ILO’s Global Flagship Programme on Building Social Protection Floors for All supports ILO Member States in developing sustainable social protection systems, including floors. The Programme contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on social protection,  particularly targets 1.3 and 3.8, through a coherent structure to mobilize resources and achieve impact. During its second phase, the Programme supported 50 priority countries, contributing to 180 institutional changes and impacting over 84 million people.

The Development Partners meeting will provide an opportunity for the ILO and development partners to reflect on progress made and to reaffirm their commitment to collaborate under the framework of the third phase of the programme, with a view to accelerating  progress towards the SDGs on social protection and beyond.
