World Youth Skills Day 2026 shines a spotlight on young people as changemakers and architects of a more inclusive, resilient and human-centered future. 

The Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the UN and the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the UN, together with the International Labour Organization, UNESCO and the United Nations Youth Office will spotlight young people as key drivers of a more inclusive, resilient and human-centred future.

This event brings together relevant stakeholders to advance efforts to strengthen education and training systems, enabling every young person to develop the skills to thrive, access decent work aligned with their aspirations, strengthen their communities and lead positive change for sustainable development.
