In a context marked by a high prevalence of child labour and persistent structural challenges, this session aims to foster strategic dialogue and strengthen regional ownership in order to translate political commitments into concrete and sustainable actions, in line with international labour standards and the continent’s development priorities.

Organized around three high-level panels, this session brings together African ministers attending the Conference, senior ILO officials, the Ambassador of Morocco to Geneva, and representatives of employers and workers. The discussions highlight the progress made since the Durban Conference and outline the commitments to be reinforced following the Sixth Conference in Marrakech.
